Hendricks Midsummer Solstice Pop Up Edinburgh 2

Phone box materialises for gin pop up

Hendrick’s Gin is hosting a pop up sensorial phone box portal in Edinburgh today and tomorrow.

To celebrate the launch of the their first ever limited edition gin variant, Midsummer Solstice, Hendrick’s can be found at Castle Street in Edinburgh, on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 March, from noon-7pm.

The floral phone box disruption will also be touring the UK at locations in London, Brighton, Manchester and Liverpool.

Hendricks aims to bombard the senses with the pop up.

A spokesman said: ‘In a world where we’re constantly connected and voyeurism is the norm, Hendrick’s Gin has ethereally transformed one of modern day’s first conduits of connection, the forgotten phone box, to launch their new deeply floral Midsummer Solstice Gin.

‘Obliterated by flowers, the sensorial phone box portals will reward the curious who raise their gaze – transporting present and inquisitive minds to simpler, less-connected times – away from their hundreds and thousands of “pocket connections”.’

The gateways will appear up and down the country to provide physical and mental space in which to stop, literally smell the roses and consider those true, meaningful connections.

Midsummer Solstice was first created by master distiller Lesley Gracie as an ambrosial wedding gift to celebrate
such a true, meaningful connection and union.

First come, first served. Admittance cannot be guaranteed.

For those curious to try, Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice Gin is now available at Waitrose (RRP £35) and all good retailers and bars throughout the summer.
