The Ideal Home Show Scotland gets underway today – and there’s a bonus for foodies this year.
Returning to the SEC, Glasgow from 31 May-3 June 2018 is the Eat and Drink Festival – a foodie nirvana within the Ideal Home Show Scotland – and this year is set to be even bigger and better than ever before.
Every year in Scotland we throw away over 600,000 tonnes – or £1 billion worth – of food from our homes.
That’s £460 a year, or £38 a month, for the average household, and most of it is good food that we simply don’t get around to eating. But by rethinking how you shop, planning meals better and using up leftovers, you can make a big difference.
There will be lots of food-saving and waste-fighting hint and tips throughout the show, but to get you started right now Tony Singh presents a brand new recipes to make the most of foods that are typically thrown away and will help you keep food out of the bin.
