Ten ways Scots are marking the Royal Wedding

A new poll by Ipsos Mori has revealed a range of ways that Scots will mark the Royal Wedding on 19 May.

The survey shows six in ten will be participating in some way, either by watching TV or recording the event, but less than one in 10 are having a party with family and friends. With a range of events happening to mark the occasion in Scotland, there is something for everyone.

10. Reidhaven Street Party, Elgin.

Moray Council has granted the road closure of Reidhaven Street in Elgin on Sunday 20 May from 1pm to accommodate Scotland’s only officially organised street party. Join the residents of Reidhaven Street in celebrating the Royal Wedding after-party in traditional street party style.

It is a London Dry Gin with notes of bergamot, citrus and coriander and hints of lemon tart and vanilla. 7. Royal Wedding Cocktail Class at Browns, Glasgow.

Browns Brasserie and Bar in Glasgow’s George Square are offering a cocktail making class from 4pm on Saturday 12 May to teach you how to make two very regal cocktails for the event. The class costs £25 and on arrival you will be treated to a glass of British Royal, a sparkly prosecco based cocktail. Hamilton Park Racecourse is hosting a special afternoon tea party to celebrate the wedding of the year. Entry costs £25 and visitors will receive a glass of prosecco on arrival with a free refill, afternoon tea and a live screening of the wedding on the big screen.
