With slightly less of Nicholas Parsons this year than I’d hoped for, it’s still an hour of fun, none the less. No checking the watch in this show….
For this year, unless you can pick up a cancellation, prepare to be disappointed as it’s sold out, so the best advice is to book now for next year (assuming this national treasure is still vertical).
In the flesh Parsons (replete with blazer and cravat) is considerably more risqué than on BBC Radio 4 and has the packed audience in the palm of his sweaty hand (just WHY don’t they install decent air con in Edin Uni buildings!?).
This is a celebration of his 18 years on the Fringe, this sell-out comedy chat show and the A-list celebs vary from day to day, but the quality of entertainment is solid, and it’s a shoe-in to get you into the mood for the Fringe.
If you can’t get a ticket this year, learn the lesson and book for next as soon as it comes up on-line.
