We’re looking for whiskies and people to review them

Whisky distillers and Scottish Field readers have the chance to take part in our 2018 Readers Challenge.

Ahead of the annual Scottish Field Whisky Challenge, we are now looking to recruit readers with a passion for whisky to become members of a unique Scottish Field consumer group.

From this process we will select up to 10 readers to attend a special Readers’ Challenge day, where they will blind taste whiskies selected by you, the industry, and choose their top 10 by voting according to the same criteria used in our Summer Challenge.

The top three whiskies will then be automatically entered into the Grand Final.

And for distillers, this is their final chance to submit their fine wares to the Readers’ Challenge, to submit bottlers of their own choice. They can can submit any new bottle of their choosing: blends, grains, malts or single casks, but they must be Scotch whiskies and available for sale in Scotland.

Scottish Field editor Richard Bath said: ‘Working with the industry is a vital part of our enduring commitment to whisky in Scottish Field, and we very much hope that you will be inspired to put forward your choices for inclusion in our Readers’ Challenge.’

Distillers must be willing to send a sample bottle with their entry (minimum 70cl).
