In 2015, Firebrick was voted best new restaurant at the Born in the Borders Food and Drink Awards by their customers.

‘We were particularly happy as it is voted for by the public,’ says David. ‘It is good to know that our diners are happy.’

In May the same yearm, Firebrick was also short-listed for Restaurant Newcomer of the Year at the Catering for Scotland awards.

‘To get in the final three for a national award – it was great just to be nominated,’ says David.

With David’s specialities including steak and game, and Amanda’s delicious desserts and French patisserie, this husband and wife team are a perfect pairing.
