Murrayshall tweaks £30m masterplan

MURRAYSHALL Country Estate in Perthshire has tweaked its £30 million masterplan following feedback from the public.

Plans have been unveiled to extend the hotel, erect lodges, build a spa and leisure centre, open a shop, and create a camping site with glamping pods.

The estate has submitted proposals of application notice to Perth & Kinross Council.

It is holding public consultations at Murrayshall on 12 December and 31 January, and has posted details of its plans online.

Gary Silcock, general manager at Murrayshall, said: “Further to our previous application, we have listened to the local community and reconsidered our aspirations for the future of the estate.

“This new masterplan would generate substantial benefits for the local economy, and would provide a sustainable future for the estate, ensuring its resiliency for decades to come.

“We would encourage anyone with an interest in the proposals to view our project website and to attend our consultation events.”

The estate has already received planning permission to move its golf driving range closer to the hotel.

Murrayshall also plans to create jobs by opening a golf academy.
