Luxury city living within a sought-after secluded setting

AMA Homes has reveal its latest luxury development, Pavilion.

It has been designed by RIBA House of the Year award-winners, Richard Murphy Architects.

AMA Homes has been at the forefront of residential and commercial development in Edinburgh for over 35 years. In that time they have converted many iconic properties and created landmark buildings that have helped shape the architectural landscape of Scotland’s capital city.

Their new development, Pavilion on Kinnear Road, is no exception.

Located in Inverleith, one of Edinburgh’s most prestigious districts, Pavilion comprises 16 ultra high-spec apartments – from main door three bedroom apartments with private gardens, to spacious four bedroom penthouses – each one offering luxury city living within a sought-after secluded setting. The best of both worlds.

Pavilion has been designed by Richard Murphy Architects, a world-renowned practice that has 20 RIBA awards to its name.

From the very first Maggie’s Centre in Edinburgh, which was nominated for the 1997 Stirling Prize, to his own home on Hart Street, which won the RIBA House of the Year in 2016, Richard Murphy has created ground-breaking, innovative buildings and Pavilion is a worthy addition to thisal body of work.

Aesthetically, the development is the perfect combination of style and understated beauty, finished in natural sandstone and punctuated by columns of tall windows that open onto glass balustrades.

At the rear, each apartment’s south-facing elevation is fully glazed with patio doors opening out onto private balconies, designed to make the most of the stunning views across the playing fields to the majestic Edinburgh city centre skyline.

Inside, the open-plan lay-out of the public rooms has been created with modern living in mind, and crucially, energy efficiency has been given careful consideration, with high- performance double-glazed window units sitting within powder-coated aluminium frames to provide excellent heat retention.

AMA Homes director, Behnam Afshar, said: ‘The interest created and the pre-sale achieved is a testament to the quality and our commitment to this very important site.

‘It is essential to emphasise the importance of these valuable sites by creating a design and a build programme that will match the location. I invite you to think that such buildings will perhaps become the next generation of our “listed buildings” in Edinburgh.’

Seven properties at Pavilion have already sold, with just nine remaining. Book a viewing, strictly by appointment only, and see for yourself what makes Pavilion on Kinnear Road such an exceptional place to call home.

The Pavilion show home are now available for individual private viewings. This two-bedroom, ground floor apartment has been thoughtfully designed around the ethos of open-plan living. The main living space features floor-to-ceiling windows, drawing the eye to the spacious south-facing terrace.

Jeffreys Interiors have delivered a beautifully contemporary look in each room, framing the stunning view and creating an elegant and inviting feel throughout.
