A new entry to the capital’s successful restaurant scene

A new restaurant will add to Leith’s flourishing food scene when Borough open its doors for the first time next week.

Guided by head chef Darren Murray – formerly head chef of award-winning restaurant, Norn – Borough promises to serve-up contemporary European cuisine within a relaxed, neighbourhood atmosphere.

A laidback menu comprising small and large plates will encourage diners to savour and explore at their own pace while enjoying Borough’s extensive selection of wines – many of which will be served by the glass.

Darren said: ‘With Michelin-star restaurants, gin distilleries and coffee roasters rubbing shoulders with one another, Leith has quickly earnt a coveted reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting foodie boroughs.

‘It goes without saying that the Borough team can’t wait to add to this vibrant scene with a dining experience that’s comfortably woven into the neighbourhood; combining a friendly, convivial atmosphere with contemporary cuisine inspired by seasonal sourcing and partnerships with local suppliers.’

Darren will be joined by Archie Kyle, formerly of Fishers in Leith, as restaurant manager.

Borough has seating for 38 diners, and will be open from noon until late, with the focus is on plates of high quality modern European food that can be combined and enjoyed in numerous different ways.

Borough, at 50-54 Henderson Street, will open to the public from July 7.
