The book is divided into ‘tales,’ each from a different expedition in which he makes and discoveries or encounters and overcomes new challenges.
Gribbon paints a vivid picture, detailing the men and women he travelled alongside, the precise manoeuvres one must know to make over 100 first ascents of Arctic alpine peaks, and what one sees and feels when on top of those peaks.
Phil Gribbon, though born in Cannes and raised in Northern Ireland, discovered Scotland and made it his home.
