Converted mill offers great views and comfort

A category B listed property overlooking Loch Tay is for sale in Aberfeldy.

The Mill, in Lawers, Aberfeldy, is presented for sale by Galbraith, and was formerly a water mill dating from 1830.

The architect-designed conversion took place in the early 1990s taking full advantage of the beautiful views of Loch Tay, further enhanced by the glass and steel balcony accessed through patio doors from the impressive main reception room.

The Mill enjoys a sheltered south facing location beside the Lawers Burn, which once drove the mill wheel, as it makes its way from Ben Lawers to Loch Tay in the small settlement of Lawers in Highland Perthshire.

The conversion makes the best of the site with the sleeping quarters on the lower ground floor and the living accommodation on the upper floor taking full advantage of the beautiful views of Loch Tay, further enhanced by the glass and steel balcony accessed through patio doors from the impressive main reception room.

The property has retained many original features such as the winding gear in the rafters of the living room, the natural stone internal walls, timber floors to the upper floor and the grinding wheel on which the log burner stands and the vent, a distinctive feature of these traditional mills.
