Scottish property consultancy Galbraith has recruited six new chartered and trainee surveyors and a qualified town planner has strengthened its business with promotions to senior associate and associate level.
Due to continuous growth, Galbraith now has a team of over 270 people working across a broad spectrum of property and land management services.

The following promotions and appointments have been made.
Galbriath’s Phiddy Robertson has been promoted to a senior associate
Promotions to senior associate:
Phiddy Robertson, residential sales. Phiddy handles the sale of rural and urban properties in Inverness and Inverness-shire. She is a member of the NAEA and joined Galbraith in 2011.
Nick Morgan, utilities division. Nick carries out the full scope of wayleave work for landowners and any statutory consents for new and replacement electricity cable and tower routes, crop compensation claims and GIS-related mapping services.
Alex Inglis, residential sales. Alex has been an active surveyor and estate agent in the Scottish Borders since 1992. He manages Galbraith’s busy Kelso office and also handles residential valuation and agency work for the Galashiels office. Alex is a RICS registered valuer.
Promotions to associate:
Louise Alexander, forestry division. Louise provides advice on all woodland management issues, with a particular emphasis on long term forest planning and specialist tree surveys. Louise has been working in the Highlands forestry industry for over eight years and joined Galbraith in 2015.
James Bowie, rural department. James is a member of our rural team based in the Stirling office. Working throughout central Scotland, he is involved in management, access and compensation, valuation, land use negotiation, as well as carrying out a wide range of professional consultancy work.
Gareth Taylor, rural department. Gareth joined Galbraith in 2012 and is part of the rural team based in Edinburgh. He undertakes a wide-range of management, consultancy and valuation work and is a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers as well as a RICS Registered Valuer.
Neil Wright. Neil is a chartered surveyor based in the Inverness office. Neil specialises in highland estates and covers a wide range of landlord, tenancy and crofting work. Neil is also clerk to two fishery boards.
Appointment as an associate:
Harry Trotter. A chartered surveyor joining the commercial business stream in July as an Associate. He is moving from London to Scotland to take up the position.

Appointment as a Chartered Surveyor:
Alistair Harrington. A chartered surveyor re-joining the rural business stream in April as a land agent and rural surveyor, based in Inverness.
Appointment as a planner:
Joanne Plant. A senior planner joining the Edinburgh office in April. Joanne has a wealth of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector and has a Master’s degree in Town Planning.
Appointments as a graduate trainee:
Jack Marshall. Jack is a rural graduate joining the Stirling office. Jack is due to graduate from SRUC, Edinburgh, in Rural Business Management in May and completed a successful work experience placement with Galbraith last year.
Ailsa Baird. Ailsa is a rural graduate joining the Edinburgh office. Ailsa has a first class honours degree in law from Edinburgh University.
Kate Michie. Kate is a rural graduate joining the Perth office. Kate graduated from Aberdeen University with a Bachelor of Science in geography and is currently completing a Masters in land economy at Aberdeen University.
Harry Graham. Harry is a residential agency graduate joining the Stirling office. Harry is due to graduate from Heriot Watt University in September 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in urban planning and property development.
