Highland hotel is available for purchase

The chance to purchase a hotel in the Scottish Highlands is now available.

The Bridge Hotel, in Bonar Bridge, is an imposing property which has been trading until recently and holds a current premises licence.

The hotel, brought to the market by Bell Ingram, is in need of upgrading and modernisation and offers an excellent development opportunity and could make an ideal tourist hostel or apartments (subject to necessary consents). The hotel enjoys lovely views to the Kyle of Sutherland to the front.

The dining room sits to the left of the reception and to the right is the lounge bar which runs through to the public bar and also a function room which is open plan with the games room. There is a catering kitchen with food stores, a laundry and male and female WCs.

The first floor has twelve letting bedrooms all of which have en-suite bath or shower rooms. There is a residents lounge which houses a full size billiard table and also a laundry store.

The second floor has a further six en-suite letting rooms and a separate bathroom and the third floor has Manager accommodation with sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and shower room.

The Bridge Hotel is set in the centre of the popular village of Bonar Bridge which is an important local centre with shops, bank, post office, primary school, doctor’s surgery, cottage hospital, library and golf course. The Royal Burgh of Dornoch is some 12 miles to the east and offers a wide range of facilities including hotels, restaurants, sandy beaches and the well-known Royal Dornoch Golf Course.

Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, is reached in little under an hour’s drive and has a modern shopping centre, hospital, theatre, cinemas and mainline railway station. Inverness Airport has a variety of services to destinations both domestic and overseas. These include Flybe, BA and Easyjet to London Gatwick, Heathrow, Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester, Bristol and Amsterdam.

The general area of Sutherland offers many outdoor pursuits with ample opportunity for recreational activities and plenty of choice for the hillwalker and mountaineer. The local rivers and lochs provide good quality salmon and trout fishing for the angler and there are several excellent golf courses close by.
