We’re all dreaming of a White Christmas, but snow could be on the horizon much sooner and Aberdeen could be the place to throw the first snowball this December.
As we enter the festive month, many weather-obsessed Brits are wondering which UK city will be first draped in a blanket of snow.
Aberdeen leads the pack at 6/4 with Betway, followed closely by its Scottish sisters Edinburgh and Glasgow, both at 5/2.
Weather hardy Mancunians hold the highest hope for England. With the northern city at 6/1, could the cobbled streets of Coronation Street get a frosting this month?
Residents of the nation’s capital should not be holding their breath. Despite London’s last heavy snowfall coming from the infamous ‘Beast from the East’ in 2018, Betway has the city at 8/1 odds to see the first flurries in December.
Betway’s Alan Alger said: ‘With a cold snap descending on Europe next week, Scots should brace themselves for chilly mornings as snow days and snow angels become a possibility.
“The weather is a force of nature and any city could be first to see a flurry, but if you’re a fan of sledding and freezing your socks off, Scotland is your best bet for the first snowfall!”
