Tremendous turnout as new Glasgow art gallery opens

Over 200 guests, media and VIPs attended the spectacular opening of Castle Fine Art’s flagship gallery on Queen Street in Glasgow.

Globally renowned Scottish artist, Stuart McAlpine Miller unveiled a series of new Scottish-themed paintings, giving the guests the exclusive opportunity to preview his never before seen work as well as works from some of his recent collections.

Guests also perused paintings by famous names from the music world including Bob Dylan and Ronnie Wood, with live music from Gary The Busker and canapes and champagne provided by Tennent’s Training Academy and Urban Food Theatre.

McAlpine Miller is the appointed Artist in Residence at The Savoy Hotel, London, where his A Time for Reflection series of eight paintings permanently resides in its iconic foyer.

A 1990 graduate of Glasgow School of Art, the Dumfries-born artist attracts the attention of galleries, critics and collectors across the world.

The new Castle Fine Art gallery covers new 3000 square feet, and is the latest addition to the company’s rapidly expanding portfolio of 36 galleries across the UK.
