Fotheringham Gallery are exhibiting a new collection of watercolour paintings by award winning Scottish artist Claire Harkess RSW.
This exhibition, A Parliament of Owls, features many new paintings of owls alongside curlews, red kites, seals, puffins and other wildlife. Claire is one of Scotland’s most respected and accomplished contemporary wildlife watercolour artist.
Recent accolades include winning the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Artist of the Year in 2017, The Artist Magazine Award and her third hugely successful Solo Exhibition at The Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh.
This exhibition of new paintings by this highly regarded artist is an unmissable opportunity for her many admirers to add to their collection.
Claire was born in Scotland in 1970, she graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1993 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art. She was elected a member of The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in watercolour in 2005.
Her work is held in many public collections including: The Walter Scott Art Collection, Perth Museum and Art Gallery, Royal Scottish Geographical Society and The Dick Institute, Kilmarnock.
