Stirling Whisky Festival aims for October date

The 10th Stirling Whisky Festival has been confirmed for October 30 this year.

Originally scheduled for May 2021, this popular event hosted by Stirling Spirit Co, has been given a new date following the latest Scottish government guidelines.

Held at the historic Stirling Highland Hotel, whisky lovers will get to sample over 100 malts and the chance to discover the secrets of distillation, maturation, and wood finishing.

Run over two sessions, guests can expect to sample products from Adelphi, Aelder, AnCnoc, Arran, Balblair, Bunnahabhain, Clydeside, Deanston, Douglas Laing, Fallen Brewery, Glengoyne, Glasgow, Lady of The Glen, Lakes, Lindores, Old Pultney, Mackmyra, Maleys Chocolates, Matugga Rum, McNean, Murray McDavid, Sons of Scotland, Scotch Malt Whisky Society, Tobermoray Tullibardine, Urban Pirate, plus many more… If you would like your products to be included in the festival, please email enquiries@sws.scot.

The first session of the 10th anniversary festival runs from 11.45am–3.15pm with a masterclass from Old Pulteney at 1pm and session two runs between 4-7.30pm with a masterclass at 5pm from Balblair.

Stirling Distillery will be hosting a launch event for the festival on Friday October 29 at 7pm at their new home on Lower Castlehill, hosted by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Guests will get to sample whiskies and enjoy some nibbles ahead of the festival. Tickets are limited.

For those who prefer their gin, the Stirling Gin Festival is being held on Saturday November 6. Once again hosted at the Golden Lion Hotel, Stirling, the event will be back bigger and stronger this year with over 100 gins available for tasting. Tickets can be bought via this link HERE.

Stirling Spirit Co. was established in 2012 with the launch of the first Stirling Whisky Festival followed by the Stirling Gin Festival in 2014.

It is a successful Scottish event management company founded by Cameron and June McCann who own Stirling Distillery.
