More than 300 lots of fine whiskies, wines and other spirits are going under the hammer in Glasgow later this month.
McTear’s is holding a Whisky: Fine and Rare sale on Friday, January 21, at 10.30am, when they have 337 lots for sale.
Leading the way is the instantly recognisable Black Bowmore 1964 First release with an estimate of £10,000-£15,000.
Making a rare appearance at auction is the Glenglassaugh 1966 aged 45 years, which has an estimate of £4500-£5000.
The Macallan shows its class with the 1980 Exceptional Cask. A rare and highly desirable 21 year old single sherry cask matured spirit, a real gem that will excite collectors and drinkers alike. This has an estimate of £2500–£3500.
Also going under the hammer is a Dalmore Aged 25 Years, with an estimate of £1000–£1500, while a rare 1970s bottle of Islay Mist Aged 8 Years Old, with an estimate of £800–£1200.
Following on from the success of the Rare Malts bottlings in the December whisky auction, there are nine more going under the hammer, including examples from Millburn, Mannochmore, Hillside, and Linkwood.
Viewing is open to the public from Wednesday, January 19, at 9am.
Entries are currently invited for the next auction of whisky, taking place 4 March.
