Actors will catch the Hogwarts Express to Scotland

A host of actors from the Harry Potter film series are descending on Scotland this week.

The School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is an unofficial event, the biggest UK Harry Potter convention, which is taking place in the Loretto School Pinkie Campus in Musselburgh from August 3-5.

Ten stars from the films – including Glasgow’s Sean Biggerstaff, who played Gryffinder Quidditch captain Oliver Wood in the first two films – will be in attendance at the convention, which will also feature interactive set and prop builds, and live question and answer sessions.

Attendees will also get the chance to see and meet owls.

Those attending are:

Josh Herdman, who played Gregory Goyle. He featured as the Slytherin house member in all eight of the Harry Potter movies. Since Harry Potter, Josh has played various roles in movies and TV series and is currently shooting a Robin Hood film alongside a cast including Jamie Foxx, Taron Egerton and Ben Mendelsohn.

He had only auditioned after being spotted by casting director Fiona Weir.
