Celebrating the centenary of the Artists’ Town

A short documentary looking at 100 years of the work of artists in Kirkcudbright has been released online.

Over the years, it has become know as The Artists’ Town, a magnet for creatives and art lovers.

The new short film, running to just over eight minutes, sees residents, artists and makers talk about why this is.

It is based on the Kirkcudbright Artists Remembered oral history project from earlier this year.

The residents and creatives also reflect on the legacy and Kirkcudbright’s continuing appeal as  town for artists.
