Hotels delight as it collects another impressive honour

A Scottish hotel has added another award to its growing collection.

Knock Castle Hotel & Spa’s Rooftop Restaurant took the top spot in the Hotel Restaurant of the Year category at the Creative Oceanic Food Awards Scotland 2018 which was held in Glasgow this week.

There was double cause for celebration as the Crieff hotel won the central regional section and then went on to win the overall prize, beating off stiff competition from all over Scotland.

Jason Henderson, Knock Castle’s owner and head chef, said: ‘I was over the moon that we won the regional section and didn’t expect to take the top prize.

‘We were in a tough category and we were thrilled to just be nominated along with some of the other hotel restaurants. We’ve had a fantastic year so far and it’s all down to the hard work and dedication of the team at Knock Castle.

‘I was also really pleased to see one of my local suppliers, Fish in Crieff, win an award too…it was a lucky night for the town!’

The Rooftop Restaurant is open seven days, serving a choice of a la carte and bar menus and is also open to non-residents.
