First entries arrive for our great Argyll competition

Entries for our fantastic #myargyll competition are coming in thick and fast.

Last week, we told how the Wyvex Media Group, publishers of Scottish Field, has joined forces with the Argyll and the Isles Tourism Cooperative (AITC) to launch #myargyll.

This social media campaign is designed to showcase all that is glorious about Argyll.

Using the hashtag #myargyll, anyone who has experienced the wonders of the region is encouraged to share their videos, photographs, poetry or stories encapsulating what makes Argyll so special.

And so far, we’ve had plenty of entries from people wanting to share what they think is so special about the area.

Cycling Mark Beaumont has shared his thoughts on Argyll using #myargyll

Mark Beaumont posted a short video on Twitter. Mark holds the world record for cycling around the world, covering 18,000 miles in 78 days and 14 hours.

He said: ‘The Ben Cruachan Inn Hill Climb is a lung busting and beautiful event, which showcases not just the stunning scenery of Argyll, but a wonderful community spirit.’

And on Instagram, arduaine1 (Calum Ross) posted a beautiful picture, saying it was a: ‘Perfect evening for Craignish Boat Club.’

You too can share your pictures, videos, memories, poems and stories.

To make sure your content is shared, we recommended that you use Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to share content. Just make sure you use the hashtag #myargyll and that your privacy settings are set to public.

Submitted content can then be viewed on a special social wall at www.myargyll.co.uk.

Taking part in #myargyll has something to offer readers of Scottish Field, as Wyvex Media and AITC, through our partners, The Machrie, Ardnahoe Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Harbour Inn, Islay Sea Adventures and Hebridean Air Services, are running a competition to win a completely priceless, money-can’t-buy prize for the content that best captures the essence of Argyll.

You can win an overnight stay with breakfast at the stunning new Machrie Hotel with a round of golf on their championship links course, dinner, bed and breakfast at the Harbour Inn, Bowmore, a behind-the-scenes tour of Ardnahoe, Islay’s newest distillery, a boat trip with Islay Sea Adventures, and travel to and from Islay from Oban Airport with Hebridean Airways.

You can enter the competition at www.myargyll.co.uk/competition. The closing date is 11 June.
