Macrae & Dick Ford Inverness will host the first Mustang North Coast 500 tour send-off later this week.
Starting at 10am on Friday 22 July, the Ford Inverness dealership will be surrounded by a plethora of sixth-generation Ford Mustangs brought in from around the country by members of the Mustang6G group.
The tour of the NC500 has been planned by members of the Mustang6G forum since early last year – and now that each member has received their vehicles, they will rally at Macrae & Dick Ford Inverness to begin their NC500 adventure.
To adequately host the Mustang6G’s send off, Macrae & Dick will arrange for each member to position their Mustangs throughout the Ford dealership, as well as presenting some of their own Mustangs. The day will include a brunch for the members and staff, as well as an opportunity for visitors to the dealership to interact with the members and purchase Mustang memorabilia.
James MacDonald, Regional Director, stated: ‘We are thrilled that the Mustang6G group reached out to us and asked to start their journey from our Ford dealership. Their group is exactly what we see the Mustangs essence represents. The production of the Mustang and similarly the Focus RS have brought many similar groups of people together. This is an exciting time for Ford, and we’re glad to be a part of the team and groups like Mustang6G.’
Kristian, the Mustang6G group organiser, commented: ‘In my mind, an event at Macrae & Dick Ford Inverness will nicely mark the official start of our journey – a celebration of the Mustang family coming to the UK. The North Coast 500 route has been dubbed Europe’s answer to Route 66, a dream of mine and I am sure many of those that are coming along. I can’t think of a better place for this car to make its mark on UK soil.’
