Cally Russell, founder of Edinburgh based personalised shopping App Mallzee has been named Scottish Start Up Entrepreneur at the Barclays Entrepreneurial Awards.
Mallzee is the leading multi-retailer fashion app allowing users to search, compare and buy items from over 200 high street retailers. Using Tinder-style swiping technology, free app Mallzee is both fun and easy to use. Founded by Cally in late 2012 Mallzee is recognised as being at the forefront of m-commerce development attracting the attention of the BBC Dragons as well as the Royal Mail Group who last year led a significant funding round.
This year is the very first Barclays Entrepreneurial Awards aimed specifically at Barclay’s clients to recognise their entrepreneurial successes, leadership and positive impact on the community. There are three categories; Start up, Social and Entrepreneur Icon and eight regions.
