Chance to buy a unique whisky and support Scotland rugby legend

Whisky collectors and rugby supporters are being offered the chance to buy a unique bottle.

Annandale Distillery has donated a Man o’Sword first bottling to support former Scottish rugby hero Doddie Weir, who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

The money raised will go to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which raises funds to aid research into Motor Neurone Disease and Doddie Weir’5 Trust.

All the money raised from the sale and commission from these bottles are being donated to the charities.

Whisky collectors can bid for a unique boxed edition and support a worthy cause at the same time

On December 1 2014, Scotland and British and Irish Lions rugby legend Doddie Weir filled the first cask of Annandale’s Man o’Sword peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Cask #2014 040). Accompanied by Finlay Calder and Gary Armstrong, two other rugby giants, Doddie returned on December 1this year, to fill the first five bottles of Annandale’s Man o’Sword from Cask #2014 040.

Inspired by his courage, Annandale Distillery has gifted Bottles 2 – 5 to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and to Doddie Weir’5 Trust.
