The sixth edition in the search for Scotland’s Home Of The Year takes the judging team to the east.
On Wednesday, the BBC Scotland show heads to a renovated B-listed farmhouse just outside North Berwick.
The owners wanted to mix the centuries-old charm of the original building with some modern touches, mixing traditional décor with the contemporary.
The judges – Michael Angus, Anna Campbell-Jones and Kate Spiers – are particularly impressed with the clever use of partial-wall partitions to make the most of the high ceilings in the master bedroom.
Next, they visit ‘the ramp house’ in Portobello, built by Thea and Ian to allow their wheelchair-user daughter Greta to move around their home barrier free.
Finally, in Dalgety Bay, the transformations made to a simple 1970s bungalow – which once belonged to the owner’s grandmother – are stunning with lots of bright interiors and clever upcycling.
Scotland’s Home of the Year wil be shown on Wednesday 15 May on BBC Scotland, from 8-8.30pm.
