Time’s running out to register for this year’s ScotHot

The organisers of ScotHot, Scotland’s leading hospitality trade event, have announced a countdown until the show opens.

With just under a week to go until the hospitality and food service trade show opens its doors to over 7,000 key industry figures, now is the time for food, drink, hospitality and tourism employees and business owners to register for a free ticket.

Taking place on 13 and 14 March in collaboration with Scottish Tourism Month, ScotHot is the Scottish hospitality and catering sector’s largest and most comprehensive trade event. ScotHot brings thousands of industry professionals together to share ideas and continue growing Scotland’s reputation as a world-class culinary destination.

ScotHot 2019 features a packed programme of more than 200 curated exhibitors, including leading hospitality operators and suppliers, along with educational talks and seminars from key industry figures, and demonstrations from some of the country’s leading chefs, culminating in the hotly anticipated Scottish Culinary Championships.

At ScotHot, delegates can browse an extensive collection of thousands of innovative products and services from leading industry experts. From induction hobs and EPOS systems, to speciality ingredients and small-batch gin, visitors to the show will gain insight and understanding through a wealth of product demonstrations and tastings.

Guests can stop past Booker Wholesale to watch master butchers cutting their award-winning meats, discover the best dishwashers via demonstrations at Krupps, and learn from Nestle Professional’s creative food and beverage solutions.

Returning features for ScotHot 2019 include The Staff Canteen Live, which showcases the culinary skills of some of the UK’s leading chefs, and Liquid Academy Live, where a calendar of inspiring speakers will discuss innovation and development across Scotland’s drinks industry.

Event highlights include the Scottish Tourism Alliance Spotlight Stage, where expert speakers from across Scotland’s tourism and hospitality industries will discuss topical issues and current debates.

Sessions include ‘Scotland’s Food Tourism Strategy’, a panel of senior industry leaders who take a closer look at how £1billion could be generated by keeping it local; ‘Marketing Musts: A Social Media Masterclass’, where Inapub CEO Barrie Poulter will share his insights on growing brand awareness, engaging customers and creating effective content; and ‘TripAdvisor Is A Friend, Not A Foe!’, featuring tips and advice to make TripAdvisor work for your business.

Ross Carter, event director for ScotHot, said: ‘With just a week to go until ScotHot 2019, we’re looking forward to sharing our biggest and best line-up yet with thousands of delegates in Glasgow. Tickets are free for those working in Scotland’s food, drink, hospitality and tourism sectors, so come along and be inspired!’
