The Scottish Field staff love South Queensferry in general, but The Boathouse gets my vote when it comes to eating out.
It has a wonderful position right on the Forth and for its relentlessly enjoyable seafood menu.
The crab, seafood curry and scallops are all winners, while the hot seafood platter is expensive but definitely worth it.
There are lots of meaty options too. The prices are very sensible.
