Iconic city hotel’s new menu is ideal for Gatherings

The Grand Central Hotel has launched a brand new Gatherings menu aimed at events between 10 – 380 people.

Based at one of Glasgow’s most loved and iconic buildings, The Gatherings Menu, designed byexecutive head chef Zoltan Szabo and his team, features locally sourced ingredients presented in a modern and contemporary style, designed to wow event organisers and delegates.

From locally sourced scallops, to vegetables that can be traced back to just 12 miles outside Glasgow – the Gathering menus showcase the very best of what Scotland’s larder has on offer. Event organisers will be able to choose from a myriad of menus, as well as vegetarian and vegan options, to suit their event concept.

Dishes on offer include whipped goats cheese mousse with macerated heirloom tomatoes, avocado and olives, with a ciabatta water; Kedgeree inspired tart with soft poached hens egg and puffed wild rice; and chef’s signature Orkney scallops baked in the shell.

Chef Zoltan said: “Traditionally high-volume banqueting menus lack quality and aesthetics. We have put great care and thought into creating a set of menus that use some of the best local produce and have presented them in a way that exceeds the expectations of those attending high-volume events”.

The Grand Central Hotel has also given great thought to the demographic of events that take place in the ballroom and have designed specific menus that cater for all audiences to ensure that event organisers have a unique tailored experience that ties perfectly with the event concept.

The Gatherings menu will change with the seasons, with spring and summer seeing ingredients such as green vegetables, being steamed and grilled. In the colder months, a focus on meals being prepared with traditional slow cooking methods will be prevalent.
