Rum and rhythm come to Glasgow for an exclusive party

Glasgow is set to host Scotland’s first ever rum and rhythm Bacardi party.

The famous rum has hosted some of the world’s most legendary parties for the past 150 years, and next Friday, 31 August, the 158 Club Lounge, located within the award-winning Hutchesons City Grill in Merchant City, is set to host an exclusive Caribbean inspired party.

Bringing some sunshine back to Glasgow, the Rum & Rhythm party has been developed by Rusk & Rusk in partnership with Bacardi, and will celebrate the flavours and sounds of the Caribbean.

Bacardi ambassadors will be on hand to mix up some of the hottest rum cocktails, including the Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum Mojito, while guests let loose to music provided by DJ Big Al, who has shared the stage with A-listers such as Dua Lipa and David Guetta.

Foodies will also be in for a treat with a selection of sumptuous canapes on serve, including fried jerk chicken wings, spiced Bajan macaroni pie bites and traditional pickled pork on rustic toast.

James Rusk, co-owner of Rusk & Rusk, said: ‘From carnival to street sound systems, Caribbean music has a unique energy and rhythm that we can’t wait to unleash in Glasgow. The 158 Club Lounge was the obvious choice to host the Rum & Rhythm event.

‘The quality of our cocktails and buzzing atmosphere make it the perfect place to enjoy a Cuba Libre or two while socializing with friends.

‘We are so excited for our customers to experience this fun and vibrant event, Bacardi are infamous for knowing how to throw a great party, and this one is set to be a sensation!’

Adding to the colourful carnival atmosphere, guests will be greeted by samba dancers in traditional dress upon arrival, and will have the opportunity to top up their glass at Scotland’s first ever Daiquiri fountain, ensuring they get into the party spirit.

Located on Ingram Street in Glasgow, Hutchesons City Grill is a beautifully unique restaurant and bar. Spread over three floors, the restaurant provides an elegant setting in which to sip cocktails and champagne; as well as serving the very best produce Scotland has to offer upstairs in the City Grill.

VIP invites have been shared and a limited number of tickets are now available priced at ÂŁ20 from the Hutchesons website.
