Get creative with the little ones during the holidays

Parents looking for something to do with their children during the Easter holidays can have fun and enjoy an educational experience too.

A host of activities have been lined up by the National Galleries of Scotland, with brand new family activities to celebrate.

Come rain or shine, keep little ones engaged and entertained with even more fun ways to make the most of your visit to the iconic Galleries.

With three sites in Edinburgh (National Gallery of Scotland, National Portrait Gallery and National Gallery of Modern Art), the expert team has planned a whole host of events for families.

Siobhan McConnachie, National Galleries of Scotland head of education, said: ‘We wanted to create fun events where parents and carers can enjoy quality time together with their children. Entry to all events, and to the Galleries, is free – meaning a great value day out for all.

‘With activities indoor and out, be sure to come prepared with a change of clothes and a pair of wellies where needed; from messy art-making mornings to outdoor explorations in the grassy grounds, family art tours plus much more, we’ve created something for everyone and for all age ranges.’
