Acclaimed Scots singer features on The Quay Sessions

Acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi will feature in The Quay Sessions this weekend.

Fresh from celebrating his record-breaking reign at the top of the Official Singles Chart with Someone You Loved, Bathgate-born Capaldi performs an exclusive, stripped-back set to preview songs from his forthcoming album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

His first cousin twice removed actor Peter Capaldi, who appeared in the music video for Someone You Loved.

Also joining the bill is Northern Irish singer-songwriter Soak. Soak has just followed up her Irish Choice Music Prize-winning debut album with LP Grim Town and has gained comparisons to the likes of Laura Marling and Emmy The Great. Still only 22, Soak is one to watch.

Roddy Hart hosts the a celebration of the art of the song.

The Quay Sessions: Lewis Capaldi will be shown on Sunday 5 May, on BBC Scotland, from 11.30pm–midnight.
