Queen of Crime will join their silver celebrations

Scotland’s Queen of Crime is to join the birthday celebrations for the Friends of Innerpeffray Library.

Friends of Innerpeffray Library in Perthshire are 25 this year, to celebrate and further support the library they have some special events planned.

Val McDermid will speak in the chapel on the evening of 14 June. Val has sold over 15 million books to date and is translated into over 40 languages. She is perhaps best-known for her Wire in the Blood series.

Killing People for Fun and Profit, is priced £10 a ticket, refreshments served before the talk in the Schoolroom.

Other events are also scheduled. On 6 June 6 at 12.30pm, there will be a lunch and tour of the library with the Keeper of the Books. There are 25 tickets available at £25.

Then on June 8 at 7pm, there will be a gin tasting and tour of the library with the Keeper of the Books, again with 25 tickets at £25.

Finally, on June 24 at 2pm, there will be afternoon tea and tour of the library with the Keeper of the Books, with 25 tickets available at £25 each.
