A chocolate treat to mark this year’s book festival

Visitors to the Edinburgh International Book Festival can treat themselves to a special limited-edition dessert.

Throughout August, The Ivy on the Square will be unveiling a brand new limited-edition dessert to celebrate their sponsorship of 2018’s Edinburgh International Book Festival.

The Cranachan Chocolate Bombe – a mouthwatering sweet treat with raspberries, toasted oatmeal and vanilla ice cream encased in a chocolate dome, served with honey and whisky sauce – will be available at the restaurant until 27 August.

This summer sees The Ivy on the Square, at 6 St Andrew Square, sponsoring the Edinburgh International Book Festival for the second year running, having been supporters of the event since the restaurant’s launch in 2017. The Ivy on the Square hope to continue this partnership for years to come, becoming a long-standing sponsor of one of Edinburgh’s most iconic festivals.

The Ivy on the Square will be sponsoring two events at the 2018 festival – Brian May and Roger Taylor’s Picturing Victorian Scotland event, and A Guide for Living from actress and comedian Ruby Wax.

Offering a Scottish twist on one of the restaurant’s most popular desserts, guests at The Ivy on the Square can enjoy the special pudding for £8.95 throughout the duration of the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
