Ondine - Edinburgh

This is an award winning Fish restaurant on Edinburgh's George IV Bridge.  Situated on the first floor, most  tables look out over the Edinburgh skyline and it's the perfect location to marvel at the hustle and bustle that is the  'Royal Mile'.  Not having eaten there before we played quite 'safe' with our choices of cullen skink soup  for starters with (posh) fish and chips to follow. Absolutely delicious!  beautifully presented and served  by smart, well - dressed staff, who were very attentive and friendly.  Well worth a visit for lovers of all things piscatorial. Me?  next time I'm having oysters and lobster!

Agree entirely. I think is a very special place. Was rather shocked at AA Gill's measly 2 stars in The Sunday Times at the weekend. I would sue. He must have got out of bed the wrong side.
