The grounds of Scone Palace will be the prestigious venue for a very special polo tournament which is due to take place on August 22nd.
The Festival Cup International Polo event will take its place on the Scottish summer calendar for only the second time.
With the entire event being held in aid of the Prince’s Trust Scotland there promises to be many exciting developments including for the first time in the UK an Aston Martin DB9 racing against a polo pony.
Not only will members of the public be able to watch this fascinating contest and discover where the real horse power lies but they
will be able to bet on the outcome with all proceeds going to the Trust.
The brainchild of the mother and son team Jean and David Leyden Dunbar of Team Management International, the Festival Cup has grown dramatically from its inaugural year attracting numerous prestigious brands from Scotland and beyond.
The ‘race’ (car and pony) will act as a curtain raiser to the main 10 goal polo match between Scotland and Ireland beginning at approximately 3pm. Members of the public are encouraged to arrive from 12 noon onwards and enjoy a picnic and savour the unique atmosphere which the event and the location provides.
