Happyness Festival returns to Inverness

Comedians including Jason Byrne, Patrick Kielty and Sean Hughes are gearing up for the 2014 Happyness Comedy Festival in Inverness, which runs on 22-25 May.

Boy With Tape On His Face, Patrick Monahan and Tommy Tiernan are also on the line-up for the festival, which is organised by The Guilded Balloon.

Highlights include local side Inverness Caledonian Thistle going head-to-head against a team of Happyness comedians in the Funny Footy Pro-Celebrity Football Match, with commentary from the BBC’s Fred MacAulay.

Colin Marr, Chief Executive of Eden Court Theatre in Inverness, said: ‘We’re delighted that the Gilded Balloon team is bringing the Happyness Festival to Inverness for a third year.

‘Building a festival is hard work and Eden Court is really happy to support Gilded Balloon with this long-term commitment to Inverness and the Highlands.
